Nestled in the charming village of Brough, the Inn at Brough is a delightful escape that combines history with modern comfort. I recently spent Christmas here with a few close friends, and it proved to be the perfect base for exploring the stunning Upper Eden Valley. The warm, inviting common areas, alongside a bar with an impressive selection of whiskies, set the scene for cozy evenings after our day ventures. The bungalow where we stayed was surprisingly spacious, complete with two soft double beds and a luxurious ensuite wet room, perfect for refreshing ourselves after long walks in the beautiful surrounding countryside. The breakfast each morning was a treat-particularly the quality bacon and sausages, which fuelled us for our explorations of nearby historic sites like Hadrian's Wall. If you're after relaxation blended with adventure, this beautiful coaching inn is hard to beat!
